The Population Council is committed to making micro-data and study instruments available to a wider audience through its online data portal. The portal can assist a wide variety of users(e.g., researchers, students, policymakers, and community groups) in framing and answering reserach questions useful in directing research and policy efforts. Questionnaires, datasets, and releated documentation are publicly available and can be used by developing country scientists to extend the impact of the research for a broader audience.
Visitors to the portal can browse by topic, keyword, country, and Principal Investigator. Each sutdy has a written description accompanied by identifying information such as year of data collection, sampling size and strategy, age range of participants, etc. If you would like to download a certain dataset and related documentation, you must first become a registered user. In your user profile, please state the analysis you intend to perform with the data.
